Just looking over my vehicles manual to get ready for the big install. I have two illumination wires cominig from the original cars radio harnass! One is a positive and the other is a negative! Which one will i use to connect my illumination wire from the Z1's head unit? I will also be installing the headlight flasher unit from Ducatiboy! Please help. Without knowing the car or looking at the wiring diagram, yah, I would go with the positive one. With the sense wire not really doing anything to the car, I would assume that if you hooked it to the negative one, it would either be backwards (night mode when the lights are off and day mode when the lights are on) or it's just a negative ground as a reference for the positive illuminaion wire. If you hook it up to the wrong one, I would be willing to bet, other than weird functioning of the day/night mode, you woulnd't hurt anything hooking it up to either just to test it out. But without seeing what the wire does or testing it myself... yah, hook it to the positive one and try it out.
