I wont bore you all with the specifics and blah blah SO...

My D3 bypass works great, but i am having problems with the following:

1. My unit does not dim when the lights turn on, how can i explain to the installer how to fix the problem.

2. I can not get the traffic flow dots on my route. I get the list of traffic problems but no dots to show congestion etc. Does traffic flow work

1. Does the map change to black when you turn on your headlights?

2. Are you in an area where traffic flow works? The freeways that are enabled for traffic flow will usually flash colors. Red for like 0-20, yellow for 20-45, and green for 45+. They also have dots where there are traffic reporting towers

i live in Austin and we do have traffic info, the "traffic flow button" is greyed out under the "traffic info" section on the nav menu. When i turn the lights on the screen still stays white, it should change to black. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, according to XM's website, Austin TX does NOT have flow information, only incident information. Below is the map from XM's site for Austin. If you look at the legend, it only shows Incident roadway and freeway coverage. If you compare it to say NYC, where I live, our legend shows Incident coverage AND Incident/Flow coverage.

He forgot/was too lazy to hook up the orange illumination wire. Should be a quick fix if you take it back to whoever did it

you are right on the NavTraffic! Thanks for taking a look into that, hopefully those guys at XM will get their shit together and get flow info. I will also ask him about the illumination wire. I am assuming he will know how to hook it up? Everything else works great, bypass is great
