I just finished installing my D3 in my 2005 GTO. I live in toledo ohio. When i go to the map it first showed that i was in Los Angeles. I then reset the unit and now it shows that I am in NYC. Did i miss a step in setting up the system?

Also, I cannot get my LG VX8600 working with the blue tooth module.

make sure your antenna is in clear view of the sky, and let it sit a little. it needs to find itself

That's what happens after I disconnect my battery or the D3...just drive around and the GPS should figure itself out. It freaked me out at first too.

This happened to me the other day also. I live in north jersey, and i was driving to Jersey city towards an industrial area. Then all of a sudden my gps was fixated in brooklyn. Only when i left that industrial area and back on the turnpike it found itself. I dunno if there was some kind of interference in that area blocking it or what but hopefully doesnt happen again.

You have to go into the map settings and select the state you are in. Mine though I was in Washington when I first installed it and then I found the map and selected TExas and it all works great now!
