not sure whats wrong

I have a 1 week old z1 pre july 06 but the shop did the ground bypass anyway. I have been doing the headlight flash trick for the past couple days and everything has been working. Today i had one headlight go out on the car, which i assumed was a bulb problem, since the high beams still worked. Then a few hours later I had the other bulb go out after i did the flash. I am the first to admit my knowledge of wiring and electronics is sub par, so I am not sure whats wrong. I was wondering if it could be a grounding issue (I know RSX's are known for voltage fluctuations), or possibly messed up wiring, or maybe im just stupid and both of my bulbs decided to go out the same day 7 months after I bought them. I guess if anyone has some ideas on what it is or ways i could narrow down what it could be I would be very appreciative. Thanks

Check to make sure they actually did the 2 wire ground

menu - settings - hardware - connection status

Check the parking brake line and make sure it's on all the time no matter how you move your parking brake.

If so, that will really effect the flashing. A grounded parking brake will (sometimes) not even let the flashing work at all.

If they did ground the parking brake... don't flash the lights anymore. Try just the grounding maybe you already have the bluetooth update. If you do you want the 2 wires grounded anyway. If you don't you can do the bluetooth update and it will work.

As for flashing and failing headlights. They could have failed and it's just a coincidence or maybe it's the flashing. Turning on and off the headlights on modern cars is harmful. I made some wig wag's ages ago for my cousin and we put them in his VW GTI (he was an EMT) and if you power off the headlights between flashing, you burn out bulbs very soon. Which is why I made them go full brightness and then just dim, not off. When you flash your headlights, you only need one on/off... do you do 3 or so? If so you are unnecessarily decreasing your bulb life.

Should work for ever (or until the Z1 or the vehicle breaks down) ;)
