Either a Z1 or a D3 are your coices based on your stated needs.

i forgot to mention i dont mind going with another brand , then again the only diffrense between the z1 n d3 is it hd ? and how complex is it to bypass between either ?

If you think that's the ONLY difference between the Z1 and the D3 then you need to do some more looking around in these forums.

My 2 cents, whatever you end up with make sure it's a double din. Single din flipouts look like crap in the new civics. Also rather than use the metra or scosche dashkit, spend the extra couple of bucks and get the factory navi bezel for the car. Looks 100x better.

oops i have scosche dash and yes i agree i dont like single flip out dim now my ex has the crappy preimum sound so im going to forget about the stock wiring and gonna run new wiring , its alot of work but i cant seem to find all harness for the ex?

70-1722. Not too many places stock it. You'll also need a 40-hd10 for the antenna.

i need 2 sets of harness kits the stock amp has 2 type of plugs plus the back of the stock stereo , this is the set i bought and the bag of the harness said not for preimum sound eqiuped

YEah you've got the scosche crap. I hate that stuff. The antenna adaptor doesn't fit properly. The harness you got is annoying, pins fall out alot. If you're going to end up rewiring everything, then I wouldn't worry too much about the harness, but def get the metra antenna adaptor.

well see if i can find the proper harness then i can avoid doing a major hassle, see theirs 2 set of wiring sets for each brand (metra vs scoche)

now apprently when i contacted cruntch field theirs 1 set of wiring missing.

here is set 1

and i think its for the non premuim sound equip

LIFETIME warranty :D you dont like it in 5 yrs return it and get full refund of your total price

Cool. I know they stopped doing that on plasmas and other electronics. Guess they don't realize there is car stuff that costs more than plasmas

yes and no lol they made exceptions to tvs camera/ video cameras mp3/ipod cell phones ...

people abused it but i think they should punish only the returners not the guys that buy it for the reason to protect their investment(like me)

like i wouldnt return it in 3 yrs if it works just because of an upgrade verison no no i would only return it after 4-5 yrs and IF theirs a leap upgrade in diffrense or the hu dies which ever comes first. i do remember they restircted the avi-z1 with that policy but they changed it and this is when i took a dive and bought the z2 ... c'mon people lets hack it :D

btw i was told that once a z1 was hacked that it was possible to burn movie into it (assuming movies are decrypted) and also that you can upgrade the hard drives.... is either one possible on the z1?
