To VSS or not to VSS? Opinions?

For those of you who have had a chance to use your Z1/2 for a while, other than the one map view you lose, do you really see a difference in presision with or without the VSS wire connected?

I have to buy a $150 to $400 dolloar canpulse1/4 adapter to properly connect my VSS wire, and I'm not quite sure its worth the extra money and install. I don't spend any time in tunnels, etc, and I'm not sure the extra 15-30' of precision is worth the headache.

I install on Thurs and I'd like some member opinions.... Thanks!

hook it up without it and see how accurate it is. you can usually get away without it. but if it doesnt meet your standards you can always add it later

Maybe ignorance is bliss because I have run without it and everything seems perfect. Still I know it's pretty easy to hook up on my B6 (you and I discussed your B7 difficulties), I just have been lazy. I'll do it eventually.

Honestly, for $400 I would NOT hook it up. You really don't need it.

If it was going to cost me money to hook up the VSS, I would not do it. It should navigate fine, but I don't think the vehicle dynamics will work.

The vehicle dynamics will still work without it, except for slope

Well, I bit the bullet and got setup as a Canpulse vendor. My adapter comes in tomorrow. We'll see how it goes!

It works for me without hooking up the VSS, and as far as I am concern, it is accurate.

I had the wrong wire hooked up for VSS for the past week. It would wander and have to re-adjust often. Not super accurate. Last night I hooked up the VSS wire correctly and now it seems to be dead nuts. It just seems to move across the map smoother.
