The D3 has a screen resolution of 480x234. Your instruction manual will tell you exactly what you need to do to change background pictures.

Try 1000x480

1000x480?? The D3 would have to downsize it then right? It might not do a good job of it. Setting it to the right resolution on Photoshop, and making it look the way you want it would be the best choice no? Unless of course, the D3 supports that higher resolution for whatever reason.

Yea we got it from same place. I ordered mine Saturday night, and got a call this morning because they wanted to confirm the order. Then my order status got upped to Processed, and they told me they will ship it out by today.

Just repeating what others have said works. If you want to use a 480x234, go for it. That's the native resolution. But I've heard that it scales down ok.

Pioneer recommends 500x240 in the manual, but it will cut off details from the edges.

how about the top and bottom...are there anything that gonna cover it?
