Hi guys I am getting a Z1 and I was wondering where the easiest place would be for me to get to the vss wire on an 04 sti wrx. Any help would be great.

Speed Sense green/yellow ECM below glove box
On the non-turbo models the vss is in pin 10 of the 20 pin plug. On the turbo models the vss is in pin 1 of the 22 pin plug. On the STi models the vss is in pin 27 of the 35 pin plug.
The vss wire is also found behind the instrument cluster.

Is the ecm different from the ecu?

its under the carpet on the passenger side, under a metal plate

Is this the same on a '06 STI as an '04... I know there are allot of electrical changes between 2004-2005+...
