I talked to a tech support guy at Pioneer and he said that a new bluetooth adapter for the Z1/Z2 should be released next month. He said it has improved compatibility for smartphones, and it will have the AVRCP bluetooth profile which will allow us to connect a bluetooth audio player (BT-Audio) or a BT-Audio enabled cell phone such as the LG Chocolate. I don't know how much I believe this guy but hopefully this is true. I can still return my ND-BT1 to Crutchfield and exchange it for the new one. I assume when this is released, we will all need some sort of software update to allow the BT-Audio to play through our Z1/Z2s.

I have a Pioneer CD-BTB200 bluetooth module on my Pioneer D3 and it streams MP3's off my Tmobile Wing through the stereo..

its funny cause I have the ND-BT1 and every time I get a call I hear the cell phone's ringtone thru the car speakers. So what is the difference between the 2 BT units? Thanks.

btw: I have motorola a1200.

This is the response I received from Pioneer today regarding a new beletooth adapter:

Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics, Inc. At this time all the accessories for the AVIC-Z1 work for the AVIC-Z2. We do not have plans for a new bluetooth adapter.

Thank You,
