Planning on buying an Avic D3. I am a graphic designer and photoshop guru, so the Avic like all GPS out there has very poor graphics. Is it possible to replace the native images backgrounds of buttons etc, fonts, with my own? So to make it more web 2.0 feel?

I know you can change the wallpaper, so if I could get access to the images folder for all the other images in the unit and update them with my own, I could make it very crisp and apple looking.

I don't think so. The graphics are built into the OS programming. You could try replacing some files on the DVD but I'm not sure if that's possible (just guessing here).
