For any of those contemplating.

Also the Z2 also dropped $200.

Also, if you use the promo code 3A185 and buy two other Pioneer components over 50 dollars each (like a satellite radio tuner and the bluetooth adapter) you get an extra 15% off. You get 50 dollars off the Sirius tuner when you buy a Pioneer radio as well. Ordered mine yesterday.

And as mentioned in another thread, Circuit City is selling for $799 also.

I got mine at Best Buy for $999 a few weeks ago. I stopped back last evening and got the price match to Circuit City. Difference + additional 10%. So, I ended up paying a total of $779 from Best Buy !!

I just called Circuit City (800 #) and they have for $999.

Very strange. Yesterday CC online had them for 799, but I just checked again and they're back to 999.

Wow - really ? I guess I'm lucky I got my price break from Best Buy yesterday !

Looks like they upped the price back to $999...

WOW! That is really odd. I ordered mine Sunday from Circuit City online for $799 with free installation. Saturday it was $920.

I sure am glad I acted when I did.

Thats why im gonna go with them. Thus far there seems to be a good amount of positive feedback on them. I just hope I dont get stuck with an un-bypassable unit!!

I just noticed that Crutchfield has removed the $200 off as well. :( I did an online chat with a Sales rep named Kent and he said they would honor the price tonight if I mentioned his name.

So, what the heck happened with Circuit City AND Crutchfield offering a $200 discount for only a few days ? Did they misinterpret a Pioneer promotion ?

Posted Jun 13, 2007 · 15:41 UTC#17

i just thought about it.. the price jumped up BECAUSE whats this sunday?

But don't they usually have sales for things like Father's day, not price increases !

And in any case, why the 2-day price reduction? They would've known about Father's day last Saturday before the price was reduced !

I order the D3 the 13th and received it this morning. I paid the $36 for the one day shipping. Great communication + fast shipping :D .

Posted Jun 18, 2007 · 01:48 UTC#23

does anyone know if these prices will go back down?

Posted Jun 23, 2007 · 19:04 UTC#25

Circuit City has had the D3 price at 949.99 I bought mine from BB for 999.99 so I got 50 some odd dollars back from them. I hope the price drops before the 4th of July so I can get some more money back. Also does anyone know of any store in Maryland that sells the Avic D3 for less than CC or BB? I cannot get Internet price break which I think is BS so any help would be appreciated. Thank You
