i had a question. i have to send my n2 into pioneer for repairs and i have the bypass done. do i need to undo the bypass to send it in or will it matter.

yes... bypass=voided warranty

Is it still under warranty? Some people that were out of warranty have reported that they didn't mess with the bypass when they sent it in for repair

no its not under warranty anymore but i didnt know if they would do any work to it if it was bypassed. if they would still do work on it then i will leave it how it is. cause i know its not under warranty anymore.

Someone on here sent theirs in and it came back without any correction/fix to the bypass. Cant remember which thread though

well i sent my unit in with a manufacturing date of april 05 so its still under warrenty said in the paper work they sent bak to me fixed the ribbon cable but said if anyother work is needed due to mods i have to pay 200 dollars so if i was you i'd get a flux penthen remove the solder and get a solder pen and redo the bypass oh well atleast they fixed my blank screen

about to reinstall (mon) anyone remeber what the i thnk its orange with stripe and how to set up the dim to work correctly..thanks in advance

I sent mine in with the bypass and a backed up copy of the 60MP West coast DVD in the drive and they replaced my flex cable with no questions asked. =)
