Can anyone help me????

I just got the GEX-P920MX Tuner for my AVIC-D1 and for some reason when I try to use the MYMIX feature, It's greyed out. I follow the instructions to the letter but with no luck. I'm ready to pull my hair out.

Are you able to press the memo button?

yes. The instructions say to press the Memo button for two seconds, but when I press it the greyed out (Blank list) pops right up and I can't set anything
