How does one get into the D1's Service Menu?

Press reset and DVD eject at the same time. When it says 'reset' on the screen, use the joystick and press UP RIGHT UP RIGHT DN RIGHT DN RIGHT and then press the joystick in.

 

I am going by memory here ... search the forums for exact instructions, they are posted in a couple of different threads.
