Which one is better, the D3 or the N3. I am looking to buy one for my 2001 Honda Civic. I cannot choose between the two. What are the differences? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Otherthan the double din, what other differences or advantages do they possess.

one is a double din (D3) the other is single din (N3).

i sold my N3 for the D3, not much in different but i like it because it is always there for me to mess around with and the N3 u have to flip it out. D3 got a nice background option where u can just hide everything on the screen and view the whole background..that nice.

the only way i would take an n3 over the d3 is if there was absolutely no way to put a double din in my car. even then i'd probably just buy a new car

Hack the dash.

hack the dash for what? They sell a double din kit for the civic dash. It would be pretty foolish to hack anything. I am simply asking which unit is preferred and why...

My response was to misfit's statement.

You can always buy my N3 :) Just barely a year old. Its nice having a flip out because when its closed noone knows you have a navigation screen there! Nice theft deterrant!

D3: no motorized face. Less likely to break. Looks more stock and doesn't block anything like the N3 might when the screen's up.

I agree w/ misfit. Get a double din whenever you can.

Also, the D3 has a better ipod interface and I'm not sure if N3 support bluetooth. At least the D3 has the echo cancelation feature.

the only thing i dnt like about the d3 (but that doesnt mean i dnt love it) is that it doesnt have a seperate dvd drive for just the navi... in other words if you want to play a cd you have to take out the nav disc and play the cd.... how ever if you want to go some where you program the route and it will then save it to memory with a few re routes... so you dnt loose the navigation when you actually need it.... or you can get an ipod with the ipod cable and that would solve all your problems the gui is great for it also...

Yeah, I've got a great theft deterrant as well... a 150lb Rotweiler

OH, and I fully intend to install THIS car alarm...
