Trying to get the wife to see the logic in moving to Hilo, on the big island of Hawai'i. Our tour guide was trying to scare us with claims that 3br/2b homes on 1/2 acre are almost $200 K!!!! You can't buy a 2/1 townhouse in South Florida for nearly that. The "Ritzy" areas have homes between $400 - $600K, and that's not even scary, considering real estate prices down here. I may become Hawaiian, soon.
