What would I lose?

I'm torn between buying a refurbished Z1 or new Z2. The ONLY reason I'd opt for a Z1, is to get it bypassed. I'm concerned that a Z2 will never be bypassed.

So, my question:

If I purchase a Z2, what exactly will I lose without having it bypassed?

- no video in motion

- no real time navigation input

Can I still search for POI's near my current location, or would I need to stop first? Can I re-route?

I guess I'm just unsure what I'd be missing if I didn't bypass it. I'm okay with losing video and initial nav routing, but wouldn't be okay if I wanted to find the closest ATM or gas station while in motion.

Thanks for your input!

you would have to stop to do any searching or re-routing

You would still have access to vicinity search and the six buttons that you customize. So if you made one of them atms and one of them gas stations, you would be okay

Thanks for the replies, guys. So...you're saying I'd still have access to vicinity search WHILE driving? Since I'm not 100% sure what that means, let me give you 2 scenarios:

1) I'm driving on the freeway, and I want to find ALL fast food restaurants...can I search for this?

2) I'm driving on the freeway, and I want to find ONLY Mexican food...can I search for this?

3) I'm driving on the freeway, and I want to find ONLY Taco Bell...can I search for this?

....or are you saying....

Each vicinity search has to be PRE-defined to the 6 buttons. When on the road, I would use the 6 (and only 6) buttons.

Thanks for the clarification,

Gary
