hello. i had my unit installed at 6th ave electronics. i have an 02 jetta. i'm thinking of creating a nice custom dash trim. right now i am using a black rubber piece around the z1 that the installer said came with the unit. my question is, did the unit come with another rubber trim piece? maybe a silver one (i could paint it)? i'd like to have a backup and if it was in the box i want to go back to 6th ave to get it back.

hey mang i gotta jetta too! how did they install yours with the brackets taht came with the z1 or did u buy a seperate 2din trim kit?

There is a thin piece of "trim" for the Z1 in the box. It doesn't attach to the Z1 and only sits around the front of the Z1 to fill any gaps on the sides & top/bottom.

Not much at all otherwise.
