I am looking to buy all the equipment myslef and then hire an installer to do it.

1. Any place to buy this stuff would be great.
2. Any additional ideas would be wonderful:

-Pioneer AVIC-Z1
-Sirius SIRPNR2
-Bluetooth ND-BT1 (130NDBT1)
-IPOD CD-IB100II
-Rear Camera 130NDBC-1
-Steering Wheel Controls PAC SWI-PS (127SWIPS)-Need to verify will work with 2007 Yukan Denali
-Ducati Boy Head unit DVD bi-pass
-DEQ-P8000, AXM-P8000: not sure if I want to do this. hear the integration is not good.

I am also thinking about adding an additional screen mounted under the windshield so I can watch DVD's and drive at the same time..it seems that its a little low to be doing that where the unit is now. Instead of having the screen in the rear, I would put it in front. (thoughts on this?)

What other equipment do I need?

Are most of you using an outboard amplifier for your subs and using the 50x4 that comes with the head unit or using outboard amps on those too?
How good is the internal amps?

Please let me know where you live and drive. I want to keep my family and loved ones off the highway when you're out and about. Mounting a DVD screen where you propose is one of the most foolish ideas I have ever heard. It's one thng to bypass the Z1 for Navigation functionality, it's altogether something different to watch a movie while you drive. I also think you could run into some serious legal issues if (when) you are in an accident. Someone will discover what you've done and own your butt big time.

I agree. It is one thing that we use the flasher to have all function available, but it is another to watch movies while driving. Legal issues would be the least of your worries. What about having the death of someone on your mind forever. It is cool to different things to our vehicles, but safety should come first always.

Also, do not take this in a negative way towards you. You asked for out input so we are giving it to you.

wow...to the 2 responders....we're all adults here. I am sure when Michael was asking for input, he was refering to the item that this whole site was designed for....the AVIC. Message boards are for the sole purpose of discussions for the item and its related topics.

Please keep your opinions about other issues to yourself and let the person be responsible for their own actions....

I appreciate the safety comments. And no, I do not recommend to anyone watching movies while driving.

With that being said, I am on year 5 of of using perupheral vision. During the summer I drive 8 hours to and from a summer home each week. I currently have an Alpine F1 status system in my H2 that has a flip up screen. Its more of listening to a movie and using peripheral vision that glances at the movie screen, not watch it. Takes training to watch the road and peripherally catch some of the movie. You ALWAYS keep your eyes on the road. NOT a recommendation to anyone. Much like I wouldn't recommend someone who has never flown an F16 to use the heads up display or tell someone who has never been a pitcher in baseball to try and keep a runner close to the bag at first.

Thanks for your comments either way.

As a adults we should be able to say our opinion and respect the opinions of others. Thanks for understanding my post. Good luck on the install.
