work fine then all the sudden it came out 1 inch and stopped i know that it is the ribbon cable but i don't want to send it to pioneer and find out that the 1 free replacement has already been done to this unit so how would i know if it has or not already been replaced???

call up pioneer to inquire by giving them the serial number from the bottom of your unit. hopefully nobody has used it yet. good luck!
