all right just had my D3.. bypassed it, everything works like a charm... ok now just a quicky 1 ... is there any way to copy the Nav DVD in the actual D3 HD or in the ipod with a small bypass in the D3 to read it directly from the ipod or its own HD...

Thx

D3 has no hard drive

D3 does have hard-drive. It's 10G to store misc things (phone books, favorite addresses, settings, ...)

However, it is dvd-based nav, not HDD-based nav.

Hello Mr. Clueless,

The D3 does NOT have a harddrive. It uses non-volatile flash memory to store those things you mentioned. Disconnect the battery. If the D3 had a harddrive, the settings would be stored physically on the harddisk. Try the experiment. See if it has a harddrive or flash memory.

The D3 DOES NOT have a hard drive. All the settings are stored in solid state memory. And NO! You can't do what you asked.

Someone (hint: YOU) needs to pay more attention when doing your homework

Yea I love how he said it had 10 gigs. Damn that means you could store like 10 million address book entries!

Cause he heard someone talking about the Z2 storing 10 gigs of music, but thought it would be much cooler to store 10 gigs worth of addresses
