thanks. I received my avox tuesday. I was going to install my 120gb harddrive from newegg and I realize that they sent me a sata drive. I call them and they said its a warehouse mistake. the error have to be corrected in the warehouse first before I reorder the correct drive. they give me a $25 credit.

I know the avox could read wmv and avi, but which one is prefer? I record in both because my archos read avi and my pda & wm5 8125 phone can read both format.

I am planning on installin my avox behind the dash with a fan over it. I was thinking about installing the avox with the top off so the harddrive could get better cooling from the fan. what do you think about that?

Is that a portable hard drive? If it is how are you hooking that up to your AVIC?

I am using avox jukebox, I plan on hiding it behind the dash. It have a av output that could go to any tv, monitor or the d3, so you could see all the media on the harddrive

yeah just use the av inputs on the unit. You cant control it using the touch screen, but you get a remote of some sort.

yep, I use an infrared remote extender so the Avox stays hidden.

I just found out that the avox don't play wmv. I guess I will convert all my video to avi.

mine plays WMV just fine. It just won't play WMA audio files encoded in 9 Lossless
