Okay, so I've spent all freakin day installing my z2 into my 2003 Jetta. Everything is hooked up except for the brake wire (Im going to just ground it I think). I used the wiring harness that came with it, and now the unit comes on as soon as I plug into the harness, and will not turn off by the key, I have to manually unplug from the back of the unit. How do I fix this?

Also, What mounting bracket can I use to make this unit look flush and great? Thanks! Please be specific as Im a beginner on installs. Thanks!

kevin, i would look in the FAQ and via search in the MkIV forum over at VWVortex. Also, the electronics/radio forum. your answers are probably in there somewhere.

Your car doesn't have an accesory behind the radio. You'll have to run a tap from either the fusebox or the ignition harness.

i think ur right no new vw has acc at the radio its all can-bus.

you should have to go to a fuse in the fuse box or check if your cig lighter turns off with the key
