i have a Avic D-3 and I have a question about it.

Is there anyway of having the ipod adapter or the jumpdrive/usb driver adapter and listen to music either from the ipod or jump drive while the nav disc is in? Problem I got is I want to have the nav disc inserted all the time but be able to listen to music also.

Any audio source that does not require the DVD drive will work while the nav disc is in. If you have the adapter cable and an iPod that works fine and is completely independent of the drive. Maybe I'm missing your point.

I'll try to be little bit more clear. While the Nav DVD is in there and I'm looking at the map and driving, can I have the ipod or usb jump drive simultaniously play music?

I have my ipod, my andd my sirius connected to my D3.I have been having my D3 for about 2 months or so and i have never taken out my nav disc. Yea once you have the ipod or a changer no need ever to take it out.

Yes, as stated, you can leave your NAV disc in permanently and use Navigation and keep your iPod connected and hear music all the time.

You get NAV and Music at the same time.

Works great. :D

What kind of Ipod will work with this so I can control everything from the Avic?

Any iPod with a 30 pin dock connector will work just fine. This includes 3rd gen, 4th gen, 5th gen (video), as well as any iPod mini or iPod nano. The new iPhone also works flawlessly.

Ok that makes sense then. Remember the first step to getting through an addiction is to admit you have one first.
