Everything seems to be working except for my navigation. When I try to navigate somewhere I go through all the motions and after I hit ok it does show the route on the map but I do not get any prompts (neither voice nor on screen) for turns nor does it care if I go off route.

I am at a loss as to what is happening at this point. I have been through the manual and all of the menus and I cant find anything I am missing.

Also, when I am supposedly using navigation, the two map views for route guidance are not available (manual says these 2 only become available when on a route).

Any ideas? I did doublecheck my wiring. I saw some weird readings from the VSS so I have tried removing that wire and so far am still seeing the same behavior.

Since you've disconnected the vss, try resetting the learning status on the system. Also in the connection status menu make sure you're getting a gps signal. As for the voice prompts and stuff, it may sound stupid, but make sure it's turned on.

Thanks for the quick reply. I went ahead and gave that a shot. Still no go. All the levels are correct as well.

It never seems to actually start the route. I still cant view the route view or the other option.

Nope, just drive to the greenish line and start driving on the route.

That could be my problem. It never seems to show me on the road but rather just near it..

That solved the problem. Guess I'll need to find a different location to get vss from!
