Need help how to use D3 NavTraffic re-route option

Traffic flow warning indicates slow traffic ahead on my D3. I am then asked if I would like to re-route. How do I interpret the presented data? Does the +15 min indicate that the mileage slowdown will add 15 minutes to my anticipated arrival time (and is this number automatically adjusted in the destination time) Am I also being presented with the length of the traffic delay (in miles)? How do I compare times/mileage with an alternative route?

Thanks!

The mileage shown is not the length of the delay, but how far away from the beginning of the delay you are from it. The +15 minutes means it will add an extra 15 minutes to your trip to reroute, but that could be a God-send depending on how bad the delay is. The AVIC should reroute you around the delay totally to get to your destination.

So if I choose not to re-route is the delay fiigured into the arrival time?

Thanks!

Mine doesn't re-route worth a crap.

They're re-doing an intersection here, and have actually dismantled a ramp. The D3 correctly reports the exit is blocked, but sets a route through it anyway. Then it pops up and says "Exit blocked". I say re-route. It does nothing. Rinse. Repeat.

F'n Useless! What's the point to this traffic data?!?!
