Before I buy something I don't need I wanted to make sure I needed the XM receiver to get XM on my D3. I have the subscription but just the radio alone won't play the XM w/o the accessory right?

No you need to purchase the GEX-P920XM module for just XM Radio, or the GEX-p10XMT module for XM Radio and XM NavTraffic.

Amazon hase the xm with nav for 135

After doing some reasearch looking for the best price. I found ebay had the best price for either unit.(and yes i know you said beside ebay but just thought you should know).

go & look at circuit city. if a store still has them they are 104.99 new.

I have a GEX-P10XMT I will let go for $100.00. Used a couple of months and has all wires and hardware. Great shape.
