Does Pioneer offers firmware upgrades for other navigation systems? Is the D3 able to get an firmware upgrade?

And do you think an firmware upgrade will be possible in the near future with the D3?

Pioneer issues upgrade discs annually for a fee. being the D3 was just recently released, don't expect an upgrade disc until 2008.

Ok thanks,

Firmware upgrades for a fee? That new for me.

That should be an aftersales service in mine opinion.

Its not just a firmware upgrade. They update the mapping and POI information too

Do they usually add features with these updates?
