Hi everyone,

I have a question about the Z1 and it's feature's, are there any other nav unit on the market that can do everything the Z1 does and more. for example I like the memo feature on the XM radio that if your favorite song is on another station your the z1 will let you know your song is on and ask if you want to change it to that channel, as far as I know Pioneer is the only one that does that unless somebody can let me know who else does that too.

Now when It come to the Navigation system itself in regard to the map, everybody on here that has complain is right about the system and I assume that it has to do with where your at. I'm in Los Angeles and I've been in San Diego and Phoenix and never had a problem so Nav has been good to me, But I agree it could used some improvment or maybe Pioneer can change from using Tele Atlas map to Navteq Map.

I looked at Alpines system and Eclipse systems and the new Panasonic system and their all are great unit. But the Z1 can do alot more stuff then the other unit can combine and the XM GUI are better. I guess if pioneer makes the Map better and stop with the stupid lock out feature so that you don't have to pull over everytime unless you have it bypassed like me and fix the ipod system and the sirius, People told me that the sirius side of the pioneer suck compair the the XM and I that the sirius does not have the Memo to it. It would be the best on market and no one can come cloe to it, well I say that about it now. :D

But getting back to what this Is all about, Is there any other unit on the market that can do everything and I mean everything the Z1/Z2 does and more and you don't have to spend a grip.

Yes, a carputer with StreetDeck. More expensive, but highly upgradeable. With the right add-ons, you can make it do anything. Very custom, though. Not a "drop in" unit like the AVICs.
