Hey there. My D2 that I bought in December is already dying on me. When I turn it on the whole screen has a blue tint to it that eventually will start to flicker and go away after anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Luckily I bought it from Costco and can just take it in and get my money back for it. Should I return it and get the D3 and if so, can I just unplug the harness and plug it right into the D3 or is everything switched around? I am going to pick up the D3 first since Costco is going to want the GPS antenna and I just don't feel like pulling out the old one and having to run the new one (goes out third brake light in my 04 F150). Thanks for any help - Erik

Nothing is the same between the 2 except the gps antenna. If you like the features of the d3 then go for the upgrade.

Thanks for the help. Got the new unit and didn't really play with it that much before picking it up. Only took about 15 minutes to swap out since the only wire connections I needed to do was the power and ground - the vss , etc were all just unplug and plug and then rca's. In the little bit that I used it last night, this unit kind of sucks as a nav unit if you want to play a cd or use it as a video source for the kids in the back, plus the steering wheel remote doesn't work that I bought for my D2. Is there something that I am missing? Also, do you know if I add on the pioneer 6 disc dvd/cd changer can I leave the nav disc in and still use the dvd changer for video a video source? thanks again
