As snappy as that answer was, he is correct. You cannot import MP3 files. The only way to do this is to burn an audio CD, which obviously mitigates the entire purpose of an MP3-CD.
Any CDDB issues with this method?

yeah only way is for you to convert it to wav first, then it copies it and stores it in its own proprietary compressed file like an mp3 but different.
