I live In The L.A area and I'm not that Happy with my xm Navtraffic service
, the first time I used it I was in Phoenix and It work will good but In L.A it's not that great and I'm not sure if it has to do with the Los Angeles freeways systems.
I'll get to the point, When I'm on the freeway and I'm comin from Camp Pendelton which is in San Diego county and I'm on my way to L.A and it let me know that the traffic up ahead is 20 mph and ask me if I want to re route and I click yes and nothing happen and then 10 minute later it will ask that same question again and when I press yes still nothing happen so what the point of asking me if I want to re route if it's not going to do anything.
I'm not done just yet, now 45 min later while I'm on the 405 freeway it ask me If I want to re route cause the traffic is bad and I say yes and then it will tell me to get on another freeway (710) and when I do the traffic is good on the other freeway so now I'm happy and then it happen, I run into traffic and I'm back to where I started off with the traffic and then it tell me the traffic is bad and ask if I want to re route and then I say yes and the same thing happen again.
When navtraffic first came out they said it was perfect for the Los Angeles area, But not true. If anybody on here is from L.A then they know that L.A has the worst traffic and with some many freeway and every car has one person in it that all this does is add to the problem of traffic.
I thought the point of NavTraffic was to help you get around the traffic not put you on another freeway with more traffic unless the system scan the freeway and see their no traffic on the other freeway and tell me to get on it and 15 minute later an accident happen.
