Hi Guys,

I got an Avic X1R for 1,5 year in my Subaru WRX MY04, all fine working till:

The problems started like a black screen, bad background with vehicle performance, buttons not working and finally he died.

Ribbon/flex cable changed for a new one with the GXX1257 kit.

Everything installed again, checked all fuses and wires but still nothing,

completely dead.

What can it be next: brain, rgb cable or something else

If the cable running to the brain isn't connected snuggly, it won't even fire up. However, if it worked for that long- I'm doubtful that it is a loose connection since that cable clips into place. If you could test the HU with another brain known to be working (or visa versa)- that would sure narrow it down. A local installer might be able to help you with that.
