Differences in Z1 and Z2

I have a Z1 installed in my 2007 Super Duty and just love it.

Now that the Z2 is out and there are/were rumors that we'd be able to do a software upgrade to make the Z1 a z2, why would I want to do this? Does anyone know the differences between the two units? Yes, did a search on the forums and found information pre-release of the Z2 but didn't see any reviews of changes since release. Might have missed them as well...

I know the maps and POIs are updated, but what functionality and/or bug fixes are implement?

Thanks for a great forum. It is a wealth of info.

Maps and POI are updated, some 3D icons in the nav views, gracenote update, XM icons are updated. Probably not a worthwhile investment if you use your nav in areas that are not growing quickly because you may not notice many changes. You can always buy next years

Guess the difference Z1/Z2 is the same as for HD1/HD3...

In the upgrade manual you can see al the changes...

700HD upgrade

from page 10 or so onwards....

Thanks for the information :D and the link to the manual. I think for now I'll stick with the Z1 since the maps I use are correct.
