I am new to this site, so I apologizes if this question has already been asked.

 

I had my AVIC D3 installed about a month ago and the installer said that he bypassed the parking break connection so that I can play video while the car is driving. However, when I do put in a DVD the video only comes on when I am at a stop. When the car starts to drive, the video goes out and I get a unsafe message. Is there a way around this?

The bypass is not done correctly.

To get instructions on how to do the bypass. Pay close attention to steps 14-19. This is apparently where some people get it wrong. It is easy to do it yourself or you can direct your installer to this link to do it correctly.
