The only thing I can think of that might of happened is when you done the bypass you might of accidently came into contact with the metal of the casing or something else. Since the screen is opening and the cd's still eject, that would be my only guess.

Same thing happened to me. Look at the two points with a 20x or 30x magnifier and you will see that the 2 points are REAL close to the side foil. You have to make sure only the 2 points are connected.
