Has anybody installed the Z2 in a Saturn Outlook Yet
Saturn 07 Outlook
what do you need to know?
Here is what I have as far as the factory stock system in my outlook with onstar,
Stock GM am/fm/xm with a dvd player and a seperate cd player, front left & right speaker, a center channel speaker, rear left & right speakers and a subwoofer all amplified but not the bose system. I also have a 7" flip down LCD monitor with (IR) infra-red built in for the wireless headphones. I have a 2 zone system meaning that I can listen to the tuner or cd palyer while my kids can be in back watching a dvd with there wireless headphones.
I would like to use the factory speakers for now and the flip down monitor.
So what dash kit should I use and what wiring harness will work with my amplified speaker system and still work with the factory chimes and work with my onstar.
Not sure how to use the lcd monitor without running a new composite video cable to the monitor unless you know of a way to get the RCA composite video information through the stock wiring to the monitor.
Not sure how to have the ability to use wireless headphones for the back like i do now with the stock syste.
I will be integrating the bluetooth module for my T-molbile Dash phone and will be installing the back up camera to.
So there are my concerns before I go forward with the installation of the Z2 in my outlook.
Have been told that the stock system I have comes in lot of GM vehilces like the Escalade, Yukon, and several other GM vehicles.
Any suggestions or help from you or anybody would be great.
Thanks in advance
I just had the D-3 installed in a 2008 Saturn Outlook. Unit is working great except for a few small minor fine tunings. The clicker on the turnsignals is muted and the seatbelt chime is on full volume. The installer said he will take care of both items.
Only problem now is my gps is showing New York City for some reason instead of my local area, unit worked fine a few hours ago!
