i followed all the instructions in the manual for changing the background picture. it says that the pioneer discs have background pictures on the disc. i've tried both discs, and i still can't push the button that says "import from disc"

any help?

The 'import from disk' button is for when you put your own pics on a CDR and want to load them

As the manual states, the "import from disc" button also includes the photos from the pioneer disc. use the same steps to load pre-loaded photos on the Pioneer DVD navigation disc.

Which Disc has the pics east or west I tried to look and could not find them

Both discs should have pics, i believe. I think it gives you about 9-12 to choose from. Both discs have the same pics.

I know this is obvious, but why not check.

On the screen where you see import from disc, there should be another button on top. Have you tried selecting that button?
