this is my first post so please dont be to harsh. ever since i installed the update cd for the z2 bypass my radio has sounded terrible almost as if the amplified antenna is not on. i thought the problem would be fixed after i had the 2 wire portion of the bypass done but nothing the radio still sounds bad. i remember before i did the update the radio worked and sounded fantastic has the update caused this or is it possible for the amplified antenna to come loose? please help thanks

You hooked up the wrong blue wire when you installed it. Go into the initial/setup menu and change the antenna control setting to the other one

i dont know how that could have happened since i had a professional install and the radio sounded great before i put that bypass cd in and did the update

do what whtcrxghst said. The system probably reset when the update was put in. Which would have changed the setting that he's speaking of. BTW what kind of vehicle is it you speak of.

I love the liberal use of the term "Professional" in the electronics industry. So few actually know what they are doing
