this is alot less complicated than everyone says.

this can be done with a regular cd-r

create an image in some kind of image editor (ex. photoshop)

you can download picture play for free online.

save the image as jpg at 500x240 pixels.

create a folder named pictures and drag your image/s into the folder.

insert your disc and drag the folder into the cd and burn it.

 

After thats done insert your disc into the d3 and go to the navigation menu touch settings and then system options. then touch background picture settings. three items appear, av background, splash background, and navigation background. choose one and the touch import from cd.
