Anyone ever work with or run a profile amplifier? I have had one for about a year its the ap-2000 never had any problems with it. I bought it becuz power to price ratio was the cheapest on crutchfield. Basically wondering if any professionals or anyone really has an oppinion about profile...

I had some in for repair about a decade ago. Really shitty build quality and really low rail voltages for claimed power output. Of course, that was then, now could be very different, but probably not considering MisFit thinks it's junk.

All I've mainly ever used is profile amps. They're dirt cheap and IMO the sound quality rivals units of 2 or 3 times their price. And they seem to last forever. The two I'm currently running I've had for about 6 years and they're just as good now as when I first got 'em.

Profile certainly isn't quality.... but there is worse out there. For future reference, you can't always depend on the posted rated power an amp has. Cheap amps tend to over-state their power rating. Funny how we can get a 1000W amp for $50 and some other 1000W amp for $500 huh?
