Ok, for those who don't remember my whole dilemma.....long story short, I had my D3 installed at Circuit City and they didn't know how to hook up the VSS. After 6 trips to and from the shop with documents from AVIC 411 in hand, they finally told me it was a faulty unit and that I would have to send it back to Pioneer.

I took it to another, non-box store, installer who took...oh, about 5 minutes to properly hook up the VSS ....AND he showed me how Circuit City never hooked up the car's factory sub woofer correctly.......Another thing they showed me... and here is the kicker....the installers at Circuit City never used a kit to mount my D3 into my 07 Ford Escape. There is one screw on the right of the unit holding it into my dash....ONE FREAKIN SCREW...

Needless to say....I am not going back to Circuity City, or any other box store again..... Thanks to everyone on here who offered their advise and information through my ordeal...and yes, it was an ordeal.

Later!!!

All Circuit City's are not the same ....

The one in Roseville, CA has some great installers. Here is the work they did on my 2007 Camry, and I am completely satisfied. I have been around car audio for many years and can tell you just as many scary stories about the smaller shops.

I guess my point .... Not all Circuit City's are the same.

did you at least confront cc and get them to refund your money of some sort?

go back to circuit city and demand your install labor back. Thats some bull and they should own up to it. Only one screw? Sounds like they have some lazy installers
