Hi everyone I'm new here but let me cut right to the chase I have avic 80 DVD with a 6500 HD the problem I'm having is when i try to upgrade to the 40,50,or 60 MT I get the dreaded please insert the appropriate disc. can anyone help with how to go about doing the upgrade I've tried the hard reset

& no luck any info would be greatly appreciated.

ps. just bought D3 & Z2 for my other cars installed the Z2 Love it but haven't Installed D3 has yet. thanx again this is a great forum.

The 60 disks are not supposed to work in there. You might search on here on how to get in the service menu and revert to a version before that. The 70 disks do work so try those after

Yea, isnt it strange the 60 series discs dont work but the 70 series discs will? Someone dropped the ball at Pioneer last year.

ok thanx guys I have nav units that use all of those disc i tried all except the 70 can anyone help with how to get into the service menu so i can to see if that works that would help a lot. thanx p.s.
