I installed a AvicZ2 and I am having a issue with it. The customer says that when he turns the system on the unit turns on and then sticks on the Pioneer screen. If he turns the system off and then back on again the system will boot correctly most of the time. I am just wondering if there is any way to update the Z2's firmware or any other idea's as to what is causing this problem.

There are threads on here about units with hard drive issues, most likely heat related. Sounds like what your customer is going through. I would swap it out and try another one

Ok thx for the info. I talked to my Pioneer rep today and he said it would be no problem swapping the unit for a new one. I basically was just hoping the drive could be flashed or something to that effect.
