Sounds like they didn't hook up your parking brake wire

Posted Aug 26, 2007 · 01:56 UTC#8

the parking brake wire is the light green wire on connector 1 correct? when doin the bypass for it i noticed the wire isn't connected to anything its actually cut so i'm confused??? Although wire is cut what do i do? is dat how its supposed to be?

Yes, the light green one. If you did the bypass, it should be grounded. If you didn't do the bypass, it should be hooked up to your parking brake

How is one end grounded? It looks like one end is in the harness, and the other is floating in the air. Ground the end that is not connected to anything

Posted Aug 26, 2007 · 10:27 UTC#12

what do i ground that too? it has no metal piece at the endand theres no where to ground it . . .

Go to the store and buy a connector to attach it to the black wire

Posted Aug 26, 2007 · 23:00 UTC#15

No, you will have to go to the store and buy something to tap into the black wire

do you know what store and what the tool is called?

Posted Aug 27, 2007 · 04:58 UTC#17

An electronics store like radio shack or Frys. T-taps would be what you ask for, and get some wire crimpers if you don't have them already
