You can adjust the hue on that screen, but you will need the remote that looks like a cellphone. Oh, and the smoker thing is VERY probable, since that head unit is probably about 5-6 years old. Good call, cntry.

ribbon cable gone bad. Mine did, until i got tired of fixing it with a pen or pencil, trying to make sure it fits snuggly. Heat and AC can effect it if monitor is directly in front of the vent. I went and got myself a D3...no monitor movement and fits nicely with my double din conversion...yes, my car is a single din...had to custom fabricate it and put in. relocated the climate control down. Sweet setup...but anyway, the ribbon, check that out.
