after hours of searching, I am still a little confused.

I cant use the D3 discs in my D1 unit right?

and if i cant what do I use to update the info.

If I use an updated disc will my bypass still work with the empty slot grounded?

You cannot use a D3 disk, you can use the CNDV70MT disks and it will update it to the 2007 maps and POI. It will not effect the bypass
