Ok, so I just had an AVIC-n3 installed in my '08 Scion TC, and it occurred to me that I have no idea where the installers put the hide away unit. I can see where the gps antenna is on the dash. I always assumed that it would go in the trunk somewhere...but I don't see it. And it looks like they were in the panel under the glove box on the passenger side...but I don't know where the actual unit is.

Is it like inside the dash somewhere that I could never really get to it, or is it just tucked somewhere out of the way? Or is it different on every car?

Just for the record, I'm generally pretty technologically proficient, so having this be my first post on a new forum is absolute torture...

Did you check under your seat? Or under the carpet near the dash?

shouldn't be to hard to find in a tc..get it yet?? could be behind the backseat.friend of mine had his put there

Ok, well I did find it.

It's just like I always say, it's not in the last place you look, it's in the first place you looked, the second time you look there.

It was under the carpet on the passenger side.

So yeah, I feel pretty damn stupid now. Thanks for the help though.

Thats lame..I would have put it under the seat
