Just installed my D3 this weekend. 06 Trailblazer SS with the Bose and onstar. Purchased the Metra harness and everything works fine. However the volume is much lower compared to my stock unit. When the volume is on 20 it is barely audiable and when it is turned all the way up I can't hear it on the highway with the windows open. Any ideas as to why this is happening????

did you adjust any of your audio settings? Set the loudness to mid, SLA to 4, and EQ to whatever you like, mine is set to powerful.

i would check if ur bose adapter has level adjustments, most do.

if you crank those up a notch that will fix

The bose adapter has 2 volume settings. one is for Onstar and the other is for the chime volume.

I will try messing with the settings I have not changed any of them yet. I know that the metra harness can only adjust the onstar and chime levels, I did that during install.

I will keep you posed on what happens.
