Hello all,

Has anyone tried out the bittornet link found in: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... c&start=30

Which is in the sticky called: D3 SOFTWARE DOES NOT WORK ON D1/2 in hacks/mods.

Love to know the pros/cons of upgrading to the new $250 discs.

Seems like it seeds quite well, but I will take forever to download it...

If you burned a copy and tried it out, please post. Is it good and safe to use?

Did mine and it works great, just don't care for what you have to go through to use your own BG screens.

I didn't know that anyone had hacked the 2007 discs yet. Is there a thread or post that details the new workaround? I'd love to change my backgrounds and splash screens!!

This work on a D3? everywhere i look it says D1 and D2 but never D3? anyone confirm that this works fine on a D3?

Not sure. The information on those disks is the same as the D3 disks so you are probably better off using D3 disks in a D3

I'm a new owner of a D3. How would I know if I have the newest discs out? Also, any other torrent to download? Works on the D3?

The disk that came with the D3 is the current disk. There are no upgrades yet.

The point of that topic, IIRC, was somebody trying to hack a D3 disk to make it work in a D1/D2. Nothing to do with new/different disks for the D3.

Those discs will not function 100% in a D3. Maps show up on the screen, but you will get no voice guidance and a few other quirks it seems. I would just stick the the D3 discs, they are the most current for the D3.
